Maria-Irene Palaiologina

Irene Palaiologina (Irina; Ειρήνη Παλαιολογίνα) (1327 - after 1356) was a Byzantine princess and Bulgarian empress consort.〔Georgios Phrantzes Liber I, 8, p. 39.〕 She was also known as Maria Palaiologina (Μαρία Παλαιολογίνα).
Her parents were Andronikos III Palaiologos and Anna of Savoy,〔(Her listing in "Medieval lands" by Charles Cawley. ) The project "involves extracting and analysing detailed information from primary sources, including contemporary chronicles, cartularies, necrologies and testaments."〕 whilst her siblings were John V Palaiologos〔Nicol, Donald M., ''The Last Centuries of Byzantium''. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1993, 2nd edition. ISBN 0-521-43991-4〕 and Michael Palaiologos.
She married in 1336 Tsar Michael Asen IV of Bulgaria.〔(EIRENE Maria Palaiologina )〕
About this woman nothing else is known, except that she was an Orthodox Christian.
